Green house brings the owners £2600 annually

Home of the future, not only will save on accounts for resources but also will help to pay the mortgage. British firm Koru Architects has created this house. It operates with almost no CO2 emissions and is completely renewable sources of energy. Thus it produces more energy than it consumes and generates income for it — 2650 lbs per year.

The house is located in East Sussex, England. And it's a full cottage with three bedrooms. It consumes two times less energy than any English house of similar dimensions. It is built using passive solar design: the home is so as to your heat, he made the most of the sun's energy.

For the construction used environmentally friendly natural materials, mostly wood — veneer, floors, walls. The roof is covered with galvanized roofing and the quality of the insulation used wood fibre and hemp. The house has a system of collecting rainwater. Assembled in this manner the water used for the irrigation area, washing, toilets, and other technical needs.

All the hot water for heating and water the house produces with the help of a 6-kW solar system and a special boiler that produces energy from wood pellets — compacted sawdust, shavings and other residues from the wood processing industry. An array of 12 solar panels delivers peak power of 340 kW. This system produces 3800 kWh of electricity, which is much more than you want to, because it is energy efficient.

Now if we consider the benefits that receive the "green house", the extra energy that goes into the city network, after the payment of all bills for the year the home owner is left with a profit of 2650 pounds. The house produces 93% less carbon dioxide than any other house in the UK.

The house in addition to three bedrooms there is a study, utility room, kitchen, dining room, garage and garden. There are so many Windows to let as much natural light came inside. For this, he turned the large Windows to the South, and in the roof system is organized transparent lids. Designers say that the house will last at least 80 years.

We wrote about the unusual house, hidden among the trees, which provides water and energy. Also there was a story about a house whose contents cost only $2 per month.

P. S. And remember, only by changing their consumption — together we change the world! ©
