Honda creates a system of fast charging electric vehicles on the go

Some automakers, including Honda, instead of electric vehicles on batteries prefer to develop hydrogen fuel cells. And this makes some sense, since it's vodorodnaya have their advantages, including faster charging compared to fully electric cars.

And although the question of the replenishment of energy is quite important, it is not a major barrier to the widespread transition to electric cars because their owners are mainly charged during night. However, Honda decided to develop the technology that will provide electric vehicles "infinite reserve" due to the powerful dynamic charging at high speeds.

Currently, "Honda" does not produce serial electric vehicles, however, in its Arsenal there are a few electric concepts, including the "smart" sitikar NeuV, also it has plans to create an electric version of the Clarity hydrogen sedan FCV. Although these cars are unlikely to get a dynamic recharging, Honda intends to demonstrate a new technology at the international automobile forum WCX 17 SAE World Congress Experience, which will be held next month in Detroit.

A system for dynamic electric vehicle charging will require special equipment under the road surface or above it. It has the potential to incorporate an underground track with conductive elements for wireless energy transmission technology, similar to the "charging road", the Israeli startup Electroad.

According to statements by Honda, it will allow you to charge electric cars (including trucks) while driving with a delivered power up to 180 kW (DC 600 V, 300 A), the vehicle speed is in the range of 155 km/h.

In the case of such technologies, and their main disadvantage is a very high cost of the necessary infrastructure. Possible solution "Honda" will help to solve this problem. published
