In Moscow begin testing the new Russian electric bus

GUP "Mosgortrans" reports that from next week in the Russian capital it is planned to begin tests of a new Russian-made electric bus LiAZ-6274.



The machine is designed on the basis of low-floor bus LiAZ-5292. The bus can accommodate up to 86 passengers; it is equipped with 20 seats. The maximum speed is 80 km/h.



Currently, the machine operates in bus and trolleybus Filevskiy Park, but will soon be on the streets of Moscow, but without passengers. All stages of the test operation of the bus will last six months, so experts will be able to evaluate his work in various weather conditions.



The batteries of the electric bus is charged from the electric network with voltage of 380 volts. It is assumed that during working hours the batteries will be recharged several times at the end station for 10-15 minutes. In addition, the battery will fully charge during the night.



In ideal conditions the machine is capable to overcome on one charge distance up to 200 km. in practice, However — with the included heating or air conditioning, with standard traffic congestion and a large number of passengers and a cruising range of approximately 70 km. published
