A great battery from which the electric bus receives energy, created with the participation of the resident of the space technologies cluster Fund "SKOLKOVO" — Saratov "company management System energy storage" (SUKAY). The company has managed to create a control system for auxiliary energy storage, allowing to extend the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries and provide more effective use of them. It should be noted that the efficiency of this type of battery reaches 96% instead of the standard 70%.

All necessary tests of the control system in the structure of the bus must be completed before the end of March 2015. Already in April, will begin mass production of electric buses using a system of battery management.

Development of RAPID one of the examples of technologies developed for use in the space industry and found the "earth" application, — said Alexey Belyakov, Vice-President of the SKOLKOVO Foundation, Executive Director of cluster of space technologies.

During the company's participation in the SKOLKOVO representatives SUKAY was able to successfully implement the project and manufacture the prototypes of the system, confirming a number of tests of high efficiency technology. In addition to the company "Trolza" with which in June 2013 was signed an agreement on the creation of the prototype system, the development showed KAMAZ, Rosatom, on one of the enterprises which pass the experimental test setup.
