Belarusian “Christmas Carols”
January 13, in the Belarusian village of Osovo met Old New year and held a ceremony called “carols”. People in costumes with such characters as Baba Socialnich, Crane, Konik, Goat, etc. go from house to house, acting out scenes, to get treats. Carols do not cease until midnight. There is a good sign: if the building was visited kostovski, the whole year, these owners will not care.
