Modern school in China

Architectural Bureau WAU Design has implemented a school project in the city of Xinxiang in China. The new school includes 72 classroom, faculty offices, a library, a lecture hall and a sports centre. The architects sought to move the surrounding mountain landscape in the image of the complex. Sloping roofs of buildings created functional, they placed terraces and playgrounds for children. At the intersection of several sections of the roofs formed the lobby and around the inner courtyards, which blur the boundaries between interior and environment, as well as act as a liaison between the classes, the library and other functional areas.
