Stunning series began in 2014 when Ken Browar (Ken Browar), a respected photographer from the world of fashion, and ori Deborah (Deborah Ory), a former dancer with experience in editorial photography, began to take modern dancers for a personal project. Their photographs became a major success thanks to the rumor in the dance community and social networks which gave a good impetus for the launch of "NYC Dance Project".

Ken and Deborah inspired at the beginning of the project process, when together they decorated the room for her daughter. They had everywhere in the room place images of dancers and ballet dancers (their daughter also wants to be a ballerina), but it turned out that photos with the dancers not so much. It was then that they decided to create the pictures themselves. First, the couple contacted a soloist with American ballet theatre and asked if they could photograph him, to which he replied Yes. Rumors about the guys who create pictures with the dancers, quickly spread, and soon Ken and Deborah have been a few models who were willing to participate in the filming.
