The concept of the light bulb "Lit" designed by Elie Ahovi and is an extremely elegant and innovative combination of led and fiber optic technologies. According to the Creator of the lamp, it opens the era of the incandescent lamps of the future.
Light bulb "Lit" proposes that light from LEDs can be transmitted in fiber optics, the fibers of which resemble in appearance the filaments of the incandescent bulb. Very light made of polycarbonate, has a shape proposed by Edison, so it looks like it is quite a usual thing.
Created for a contest in which you choose the winners of the famous prize brown, concept from Ahovi is based on a modular set of parts, and the light segment located near the screw base. The design concept is such that the lamp can be connected to the cartridge of different sizes. Once the lamp has served its purpose, although up to this point it takes several years, the polycarbonate can be safely recycled.
The developer of the light bulb "Lit" that her benefits are evident, because the light bulb solves many existing problems: aesthetic appearance, the ability to adjust the heat and brightness of the lighting, long lifetime of the diodes and the ability of the lamp to hold the exact color of the light (called the Kelvin temperature). The main advantages lie in the fact that the lamps used in flat LEDs are small point sources of light that do not emit light 360 degrees like a traditional incandescent dump of a specific org. Such major manufacturers as GE, Philips, Lighting Science Group and not only are they not one year have struggled to optimise traditional lighting by providing solutions that can achieve directional light output. The concept of the Ahovi — a completely new approach to lighting, and highlight concepts in the use of fiber-optic material.
It is difficult to say whether the hybrid bulb to achieve the same high light output as lamps, which are today on the market, saving offered by developer design – design a small package. But I hope that light bulb is "Lit" to save mankind from wasteful traditional spiral bulbs and will be a modern energy-efficient light source.
