Human relationships is one of the most effective methods of gaining awareness. Through the mirror of relationship – all relationships without exception – we can enter into an expanded state of awareness. We mirror each other, and we must learn to see in yourself. This is called the mirror of relationship. In this mirror I can discern their spiritual essence. Looking around, I see a reflection of yourself.
Relationship is a tool of spiritual development, and a single consciousness – their ultimate goal. We are all part and parcel of universal consciousness, but the real breakthrough happens when between us we begin to notice in everyday life. Those we love and those who hate it, are our mirrors. Who we like? Those whose traits are similar to ours. We want to be such people closer, because we feel that, in their society, these traits will appear even brighter. But people, whose character reminds us of those of our properties which we carefully suppress in itself we don't like. So, if someone causes you to mistrust, know that this person has something in common with you, but you do "something". If you were willing to accept these qualities, they would no longer annoy you.
When you catch yourself thinking that someone is nice to you, determine what that person you like. Beauty, grace, elegance, power, strength, mind? In any case, know that the mentioned quality is inherent in you. Do not dismiss this – and maybe your life will be fuller.
The same is true for those who don't like you. By establishing contact with your true essence, you have to understand and accept not the best traits of your character. The coexistence of opposites is the Foundation of the Universe. If somewhere deep inside of you hiding you coward, you will never become brave. And generous you can be, if you are not sitting miser.
