Eco-friendly nail Polish
In the Japanese city of Kyoto thriving ancient workshop, where they produce artistic paint.
One of the components is a white pearl, which for several centuries produced from the shells of scallops, traditionally used for painting walls and ceilings of churches, the painting of theatrical masks and puppets. Today master found a new use for it and created a truly "green" nail "Gofun", which are harmless for the environment and for human health – therefore it can safely be used by children, expectant mothers, people with allergies, or elderly people.
History tells us that the first nail Polish was invented in the East during the reign of the Chinese Ming dynasty, when the fashion among the upper classes had long nails. Already at that time were made of poisonous resin of the lacquer tree (Toxicodendron vernicifluum), and today is is a bunch of chemicals. Formaldehyde do Lak more persistent, however, they penetrate through the thickness of the nails and gradually accumulate in the body – not to mention the fact that the "claws" begin to break down and no nail Polish look bad (it's a vicious circle). Other harmful component lacquer is toluene, the strongest solvent: thanks to him the Polish dries quickly, but it is a very strong carcinogen. Add acetone nail Polish remover, and it begins to seem that the beauty is not worth the sacrifice.
But in the land of the rising sun lacquer appears for the first time in its history became friendly to people and nature. Scallops (Pectinidae) living in all the oceans, can be called "sea butterflies": they are able to rise into the water column, with high frequency closing the sash. Sinks used for the production of natural lacquer are wastes of food industry, since clams are a delicacy. These sinks are usually used in the manufacture of powder of calcium carbonate and just for decorative purposes.
The water-based lacquer contains crushed minerals, color pigments and essential oils. After application, it dries quickly and stays cool on the nails for two days, and then the manicures can be a little refreshing. Testing shows that varnish "Gofun" withstands prolonged water treatment – you can take a bath or shower and if do not RUB the nails with sponge and allow to dry after exiting the water, the manicure will not be affected. If you need to wash off the varnish, you can use ordinary alcohol, Cologne or toilet water.
Despite all of this, eco-friendly nail Polish does not thicken and does not dry in the bottle, even when it is very little: this means that it can be used without the rest. However, the novelty still has a shelf life, since essential oils are "live" about two years. But the difference between using the usual paint and emulsion "Gofun" is felt as soon as I open the cap no harmful fumes and therefore no health problems as a result.
The color palette of Japanese innovations inspired by the colors of nature Kyoto and folk heritage of Japan, and natural mother of pearl gives a natural shimmer to any nail Polish shade: "moonlight", "peony", "feathers green Warbler", etc. the Cost of one bottle of nail Polish "Gofun" (10 ml) is 1,200 yen, or a little less than $ 16. And if somewhere in China it seems a luxury, European visitors to the Internet shop find the price very affordable.
