Interact with the hologram in Skype

In modern business, more and more companies hold meetings using telecommunications devices. Remote attendance at the conference can provide a video camera and a microphone. But what about holographic telepresence? Microsoft is developing a system which will make you feel like one of the members of the Jedi Council (the epic "Star wars") who could attend meetings in the form of holographic images.

According to a Microsoft announcement, the company is looking for an engineer for software development for the team's Startup Business Group, which is currently working on a new project.

A team of researchers proposed a system that to create a holographic image uses infra-red cameras, projectors and apparatus for color photography The aim of the project is the creation of a system to support immersive telepresence.

It should be noted that the technology of 3D presence is not new. Such technology companies as Cisco and Sony already put on the market their developments. When Microsoft plans to make the system of remote presence available to the General public, are not reported.
