A robot spider that avoids obstacles and says out loud everything he sees

In the world there are many robots in the form of spiders in the world there are robots that can move around avoiding obstacles in its path, and in the world there are robots that can talk. Now in the world, through the efforts of passionate about robotics person, Kevin oja, there was a robot spider Charlotte, a robot with a "talking head", he can move around in a complex environment, avoiding obstacles, and comment aloud everything that happened to him during the movement.

The Charlotte robot based on a kit from the category "do it yourself", which is manufactured by Trossen Robotics. Instead of the control unit with a fairly meager opportunities that comes along with the kit, Kevin Oh gave the robot "brains" based on the tiny Raspberry Pi computer, a CPU which was overclocked to frequencies of 1 GHz, and which runs a special program, it is written in the programming language C++ and controls the movements of the robot.

At the moment the robot Charlotte there are lots of little faults, such as the ability to detect obstacles that are only in the field of his vision. However, all the problems are not very significant and will soon be eliminated in the process of updating the software of the control system.
