In Russia opened the fabergé Museum
On 19 November in St. Petersburg opened Museum, which is dedicated to jewelry art of Karl Faberge and his contemporaries and followers.
In the heart of the exhibition is a collection of cultural-historical Fund Vekselberg "Link of times". It includes close to four thousand works of decorative art, including a collection of Easter eggs Faberge, which was purchased in 2004 from the heirs of the American magnate Malcolm Forbes. The collection includes, for example, belonging to the Royal family Easter egg painting which displays the most important events in Russian history.
In addition to Faberge, the exhibition included works by such famous masters of jewelry, like Ivan Khlebnikov, Pavel Ovchinnikov and Ignatius Sazikov. For a wide range of visitors the Museum was opened in December 2013.
At the opening said that the Museum will also host temporary exhibitions. "Now we are negotiating with the Pushkin Museum and the Tretyakov gallery on the partnership," says Vekselberg.
