Creative recycling: the sculpture of the toys from Freya's Jobbins Bashny.Net

Designer from the Republic of South Africa Freya Jobbins found a very unusual use of old junk игрушкаv. Freya Jobbins creates sculptures out of old dolls. Among the works of the designer there are full scale copies of famous works of art and their own creative projects, for example – a bust of Darth Vader. In an unusual collection of Freya numerous busts of famous people: politicians, rock stars, actors and other.



The designer herself says that her inspiration was the surrealist painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo. According to the designer, it is his paintings inspired her to make to create sculptures from parts of toys.

 





As a working material Freya Jobbins uses fragments of old dolls, parts of Lego, toy soldiers and many others, whole or disassembled toys. Typically, the designer tries to find a material to correspond with the image selected her.

 

Creativity Freya's Jobbins attracted a lot of attention and gathered a lot of positive feedback. The designer added that it is better to make out of trash something useful or beautiful, than simply to send some things to the dump. Freya is convinced that not only toys, but also many other old things in the economy can be used, if not practical, then at least creative.

 



Similar ideas the designer has found the popularity of "green" circles, and joined the community of artists who consider themselves "environmentally friendly" and socially important.
