In the first two months of 2014 among the new projects of American energy dominated the renewable energy sources. Most electricity and thermal energy of the outdoor during this period, power plants were generated by solar panels, biomass, geothermal, water and wind. 91.9% of all energy accounted for eco-friendly sources. Americans also worked with natural gas, which accounts for about 1 MW of 568 megawatts produced in the United States during this period, reports Grist.





Oil products and coal in the beginning of the year the Americans virtually ignored. The main sources of energy among the new projects was called solar and wind power, which accounted for 80.9 per cent. However, the bulk of energy production in the US is still dependent on the Earth: out of the total amount of power generated only 16,14 % comes from renewable sources. To increase that percentage and reduce greenhouse gas emissions should gradually be excluded from the energy cycle of coal, oil and gas enterprises, as well as plants operating on these fuels. There, where it is impossible to completely abandon oil and gas, it is necessary to increase the efficiency of work.
American environmental activists demand that the government force businesses to pay to the budget for the harm that they bring to nature. This will force many consumers to switch to renewable energy and to reduce the amount of hazardous emissions. Moreover, that sufficient power new energy has already been proved in practice.
