Developed by Cadillac, which will drive without refueling for a hundred years

Just imagine a car that has been driving for 100 years on just 8 grams of fuel from a dense material called thorium.

Enough for life! There will be no more gas stations, no more gas costs, no more time and no more toxic carbon dioxide emissions.

The billions of cars that drive on the roads every day and cost trillions of dollars in material resources and time are simply unimaginably polluting the atmosphere, and this problem has already exceeded all possible and impossible limits. Cars will stop emitting CO2 poisonous gases and damage the environment, that is, they will significantly save the planet’s resources for all mankind.

In recent years, hybrid and fully electric cars are already on the roads, behind which the future is believed to stand. But while such cars have a lot of disadvantages, including a short range and the high cost of the car itself, which makes cars with gasoline engines the most attractive choice for buyers despite the cost of gasoline and air pollution.

Connecticut-based Laser Power Systems (LPS) is working on a new thorium-based propulsion system. Thorium is a heavy low-radioactive metal, it is the densest material in nature and therefore it is used as a hardener for the aircraft industry, but it can also produce huge amounts of heat. Thorium is found in nature mainly in igneous rocks and rock-forming minerals of the earth's crust (granite, sand, mica, sea water). The largest reserves of thorium in the United States, Australia and India are about 1 million tons. Since the total reserves of thorium are 3-4 times higher than the reserves of uranium in the earth’s crust, nuclear energy using thorium will allow for hundreds of years to fully ensure the energy consumption of mankind. The cost of one kilogram of thorium is about $ 80. And at the same time, thorium produces hundreds of times less long-lived radioactive isotopes, that is, when it is used, you can completely keep the ecology clean.

For example: A small piece of thorium is able to create a laser beam that heats water, generates steam and rotates a mini-turbine. One gram of thorium contains much more energy than 30,000 liters of oil, that is, gasoline! According to calculations, 8 grams of thorium is enough for a car to drive without gasoline for 100 years. In addition, the excess energy released during the reaction will be enough to recharge the battery and other devices.

According to LPS President Charles Stevens, the experimental thorium-based engine weighs 225 kilograms, is compact and easily fits under the hood of a conventional car. According to experts, only one gram of thorium contains more energy than 28 thousand liters of gasoline and 8 grams of this substance will power a conventional car for a century. “The car will age before the engine. There will be no oil products, no exhaust gases, nothing, Stevens said.

The design of the concept car Cadillac World Thorium Fuel Concept (WTF) is absolutely non-standard, looks like the car of the future and is a model of the fight against environmental damage. The car has the function of insurance in the event of an unforeseen breakdown to continue its full operation without repair and everything is designed to operate all internal programs as efficiently as possible. The concept car has 24 wheels – six on each side, each equipped with a built-in induction electric motor. These wheels will need to be adjusted every 5 years without needing to be replaced. The design of the Cadillac WTF is very flexible, like muscles, for example, the angle of the wheels varies depending on the surface of the road.

But if it were that simple... Still, it is nuclear power, and to protect both the driver and others, special protection will be needed, which can weigh too much for the car. There are also those who can use such a development as nuclear weapons, which is even more dangerous, respectively, it is necessary to fully protect such engines if they are available to every inhabitant of the planet.
