Named the best country for the birth and upbringing of children

For the second year in a row the leader in the ranking of the international public organization "save the children" becomes Finland. This country, located in the Northern part of Europe, recognized as the best place for the birth and upbringing of a healthy baby.

The TOP sheet was drawn up on the basis of 178 countries. The experts compared the performance of countries in five categories:

  • financial well-being of citizens
  • the education level of local residents,
  • social and political status of women
  • the health of mothers
  • the infant mortality rate.

Interestingly, Finland is not among the three leaders on any of the parameters. She won on a quantitative basis – the state was among the fifteen best in each category.

Russian researchers have put only the middle of the rankings. Scientists took her position 62.

Among the States that are most relevant for childhood and motherhood, were Denmark, Iceland, Netherlands and Sweden. They occupied from the second to the fifth line of the rating of independent organizations, and the latter, the 178, stuck in Somalia (in this South African nation because of the terrible living conditions, according to statistics, die every seventh child up to five years).

"Worst of all women and children have in countries involved in armed conflict or suffering natural disasters. They suffer from this stronger than all, and at risk of premature death more often, 14 times," say the researchers.
