Wooden Flower Chandeliers by MacMaster Design
Recently, eco-design and use of natural materials for home furniture have become popular all over the world. Wood waste is discarded everywhere in sawmills, fallen trees simply rot. But why disappear the material from which designers can make stylish, fashionable, beautiful and, most importantly, environmentally friendly lamps?

MacMaster Design, a modern lighting and furniture design studio based in the UK, works only with FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council – the international organization that created a system for confirming the environmental and social responsibility of forest management) wood and gives it completely unusual shapes. Founded by Alex McMaster in 2009, MacMaster Design is recognized worldwide for its high-quality wood products. At ICFF 2014, MacMaster Design unveiled a series of hanging fixtures made from carefully selected FSC certified lumber. When you look at these lamps, it seems as if there are strange large flowers under the ceiling.

Light, floral themes are felt in every lamp. All chandeliers are decorated with elegant wooden leaves through which a warm diffused light flows. Wooden chandeliers in the form of half-blown flowers - from lotus to tulip - are made by hand, while they combine minimalism and environmentally friendly materials. It is worth noting that wooden “flower” chandeliers from MacMaster Design became a finalist in the English Wood Awards competition, which specializes in wood design.
