Electric vehicles as public transport
French billionaire and entrepreneur in the field of electric vehicles Vincent Bollore moved the French experience of public use of electric vehicles in the United States. The project is estimated at $35 million.
Owner Bolloré Group will create at Indianapolis (Indiana), the largest U.S. network of public electric cars. The American structure will be called BlueIndy. It will allow any resident of the city to ride on a small four-seater car at an affordable price.
The system will consist of 25 points Parking, where you can rent 1 of the 500 electric vehicles company fleet. Total will be 200 service stations with thousands of installed devices to recharge the battery.
The cost of payment is not specified, but in France a monthly subscription in the presence of a membership card only costs $13 and a simple single trip will cost $4 for 15 minutes.
