Uzbekistan will develop a wind Atlas

The decision of such important tasks will be to engage in consulting companies Intec-GOPA and GEO-NET (Germany) jointly with specialists of SJSC "Uzbekenergo". The cost of works is $110 million the Project will assist Uzbekenergo in the further development program for the development of renewable energy sources, including assessment of potential wind energy.





According to representatives of GEO-NET, the company will submit their data to the "Uzbekenergo" and the parties will choose two pilot zones, which will be carried out detailed meteorological studies. Company GEO-NET will conduct research throughout the year until the summer of 2015. According to preliminary estimates, the Park of wind turbines can be created in Karakalpakstan and Navoi region.
