A quick way to reboot your brain

In order to get rid of the feeling of failure and find the strength to try again, sometimes just wash your hands! The experiment of German psychologists proved that one should not underestimate hand washing, perceiving it only as a hygienic procedure. In a situation of stress, it can be an effective psychotherapeutic procedure.

Scientists in Germany have studied the psychological effects of hand washing. During the experiment, whenever the subject failed to successfully complete the task, he was asked to wash his hands.
After this simple procedure, the majority of subjects found that they had restored positive expectations and were willing to try again. Subjects who did not wash their hands refused to take the test again.
Handwashing, thus, turned out to be an act of psychological discharge for the subjects, helped relieve stress, fatigue and a feeling of failure. We symbolically wash away the burden of our failure and become ready for a new start.
