In Buryatia will be a tool that 1400 years

On 11 July at the festival "Voice of nomads" in the Russian drama theatre group will perform native art of the Mongolian Altay.

Later, scientists determined the age of this stringed instrument and made it 7-8 centuries of our era, i.e. the era of the Turkic khanate.

One of the features yataga is a method of fastening the strings to the top deck, which is reflected in the sound of the instrument. In this case they are mounted on sounding deck and stretched like a string, splitting strings attached to the nail bent neck.

Also on the ancient instrument, the researchers found runic inscriptions in the ancient language, making the "Altay ATAGO" a very valuable artifact for Turkology and Mongolian studies, and especially for the study of the ancient türkic writing. Here is the inscription carved on the right side of neck: "Olon ULS Dahi BL samshin, sudalai".

Specifically for the study tool, the creation of repertoire and musical groups specializing in this instrument, the efforts were combined Mongolian music Agency, Academy of Science of Mongolia, Institute of archaeology and the national factory of musical instruments.

The artifact was reconstructed, in Mongolia implemented a state program on the revival of the instrument and traditions of his existence. The great ceremony of playing the instrument "Altai yataga" was held in Mongolia on 16 may 2014, the tool sounded for the first time in 1400 years.

Also, the programme has created the same group "Altai", which will soon appear in the capital of Buryatia. Team native folk art consists of experienced musicians, it is the sound of two female voices, throat singing, string and percussion instruments.

The creative team perfectly mastered the art of throat singing, playing Maureen houre, atage, Cuore (Mongolian longitudinal flute), Numan houre (Lukhovitsy Huur), hulsan houre (reed report), percussion instruments and folk dances "Biy biyelgee".

Today, the group "Altai" is the title of eco-groups, three prize in the nomination "Best product" International competition of musical creativity.
