ATMs with water must solve an acute problem

According to official figures, about 150 million Indians do not have access to clean water. There is no time to find a long-term solution. Therefore, the government of Delhi decided to create 500 water ATMs throughout the city.

Water ATMs are high cylindrical reinforced concrete structures that will be powered by solar panels and allow an ATM with water to function. This idea originated with the innovative Indian company Sarvajal.

The pilot project was launched in late 2013, during which time 15 water ATMs were installed in the vicinity of New Delhi. For 1 cent in such an ATM you can buy 4 liters of water. At such a low price, people can afford to buy water.
Thousands of families have already been able to evaluate the work of these devices. Many said that such tension with water as before will not be.
