Aircraft-airship-helicopter—three in one

November 16, 2012 at TSAGI considered the draft "Beaurocracy with aerostatic unloading aircraft" (BARS). Attention to the project came after a meeting of representatives of the transport community with President Putin held on 30 October 2012 in Novo-Ogaryovo. This was followed by the presidential order, the Minister of industry and trade to deal with this issue and report back.





The plane made on a "flying wing" with a strong tail and pilot-passenger cabin in the front. The airframe is made almost entirely of composite materials with the use of sandwich shells with foam and honeycomb fillers, that in 1,5-2,0 times reduces the structural weight in comparison with metal structures. The presence of a lifting propeller installation, located in the channel of the disc-shaped center section, provides a vertical or short takeoff and landing.

BARS is a combination of three well-known aircraft: airship, airplane, helicopter and hovercraft (SVP). Managed to create a combined flying machine, eliminating the disadvantages of airship, airplane, helicopter and hovercraft, but preserving their positive qualities. So, for example, have been eliminated such disadvantages: the airship – windage, the need to have a complex service system; the plane and have the airport; the helicopter a small distance and the high cost of transportation.

The use of the elements of the SVP and the rotor of the helicopter ensured bitartrate-based and operation with any flat surface (water, swamps, snow, soil, etc.), eliminating complex infrastructure for Aero - and disableport (it has on-Board self-service system). The preservation of aircraft components (bearing surface) of the airship (lifting gas) has led to a greater payload, range and high cost transportation.

Great potential if you use BARS as a carrier of technological equipment delivery to remote regions of Russia, in the so-called air transport-technological complex.

The apparatus is composed of three cargo compartment: nose, Central and tail sections with the ability to download both from the air and from the ground. Central cargo compartment with retractable or removable platform allows you to create an air transport-technological complexes of various destination. The innovation of the project is confirmed by the patents of Russia, Germany and the United States.

On the basis of the prototype, which, however, is missing aerostatic unloading, in the Tyumen scientific research firm "Tumefaciens" more than 15 years ago was built beaurocracy plane BELLA, who, with the participation of the Moscow aviation Institute and the Siberian research Institute of Aviation has successfully passed pre-flight tests.

At the same time, questions on such a complex machine, which combines three of the basic engine.

Takeoff weight of the first modification - "Violet 15" – 81 ton. This weight of 60 tonnes payload. The flight range with load of 3 thousand kilometers, height – 500 meters, the speed – 180 km/h Power plant – 8 180 kW. Wingspan – 70,5 meters, length – 72 meters height – 20 meters.

The lack of a coherent state policy in the field of aviation industry, the obsolete system of examination and a closed decision-making process for new aviation technology hamper the development of the project. Therefore, the participants of the aforementioned meeting at TSAGI were not previously acquainted with the research materials and experimental results, therefore, to understand for more than two hours the concept of the project from the report author could not. This project was discussed at TSAGI in the same way four years ago. On consent to conduct a research project, it did not matter. Over the years the project received dozens of responses from firms and agencies that expressed a willingness to use these planes, but only their serial execution.

In may of this year on the research project the European Commission has allocated a grant. To prepare the corresponding application for a European grant, their efforts combined three consulting organizations – the Russian company "PREFISH" the Agency "Agentur Kronstadt GMBX" (Germany) and company "Oxford Progress LTD." (UK). In the fierce competition of applications for the grant programme of the European Commission to support innovative development this application the first approach won, and four European by English and Riga universities and two German firms received about 700 thousand euros for the analysis of the concept of combined aircraft besaratinia-based designer, Alexander Filimonov.

In the US, the Pentagon allocated mnogomillionniy grants for the construction of prototype aircraft under investigation in the UK and Canada. This involved the Agency for defense advanced research projects DARPA (USA), Lockheed Martin (USA), Aviation Capital Enterprises, Inc. (Canada), Hybrid Air Vehicles Ltd (UK).

In may 2012 three research centers of England, Germany and Latvia on the basis of the above mentioned grant, the intensive research work on the project.

There is no doubt that in the near future will be built beaurocracy the plane as small and heavy. Would be the best option, if Russia and Europe have joined forces in the project, which is beneficial to both parties.
