The risk of infection after a tattoo

In the journal of the American Medical Association published an article that describes an outbreak of infections caused by bacteria in the genus Mycobacterium after tattooing.

According to Dr. Daihung To, a dermatologist from Harvard medical school, the consequences from this infection can be different: rash around tattoo, or the appearance of abscesses, which require professional intervention. The source of infection when applying a tattoo can be tools, ink, or even the master himself. That is, the danger are as poor quality inks and non-certified equipment, and the person who gets the tattoo. Before making a tattoo, you should check the certificates of the salon and master, as well as the sterility of the workplace and tools. Remember that it is better to use disposable needles for machines and, of course, disposable syringes for injecting anesthetic. No less attention should be paid to the choice of ink. If they are made in the USA, they should be tagging the FDA, which will confirm their certification.
