Children are ready to make sacrifices for the sake of justice
Harvard scientists conducted a new study which once again confirmed the existence of a developed sense of justice, even in young children aged 6 – 8 years. This feeling is so strong that children are ready to deal with the consequences of the selfishness of others to the detriment of themselves.
However, the sense of justice in children has its own characteristics: they are ready to severely punish foreign "offenders" and at the same time softer to perceive the misconduct of their "offenders".
According to American scientists, all of their work was the first experimental study of the sense of justice in children. This experiment involved 64 children. First, they were divided into two groups – blue and yellow. After a series of games, the increased sense of commitment of all participants to their group, the children began to show pictures. They offered different options of split six candy between the two children in blue and yellow cap.
In 80% of cases the children shared the candy fair: for example, one child got all the candy, and the other none. In the case of saglasnosti with this carve-up, study participants were asked to correct the injustice and give a "deprived" their candy. Such a triumph of justice agreed 40% of the participants of the experiment.
