The goal of the company neither more nor less is an attempt to collect 2 billion canadian dollars (about 1.8 billion). Why do they need so much money?

You read correctly. Billions. As explained on the site Indiegogo, the people behind this company are going to use the money to build a full-size replica of the space ship "enterprise", which many of you science fiction fans, could see within a franchise "Star trek".

Why do they so much money? The fact that they want to create not just a full-size replica of the layout, they want to create a complete and fully functional space ship. As you know, the cardboard kind of thing to reduce the cost of construction, unfortunately, does not build.

It should be noted that 2 billion canadian dollars will go not to the construction of the space ship "enterprise". They will go in support of technology development for the warp engines. To build a real ship, you will need much more money.
