Japan conducts first public test of the new superfast trains

Japan created the first high-speed railway in 1964 (bullet train Shinkansen), and now the land of the rising sun made another breakthrough in the creation of fast trains, inventing new Maglev train. Conventional high-speed trains move along known paths, which limits their speed of about 320 kilometers per hour, but the speed of the new train thanks to "L-Zero" reaches 500 kilometers per hour: it can take passengers from Tokyo to Nagoya in 40 minutes. It is expected that the system will be widely applied in 2027.

The company "Central Japan Railway Company" has conducted a public demonstration of new technology "L-Zero", which accelerates the train up to 160 kilometers per hour before entering the system of magnetic suspension, after which the speed is gradually increased up to 500 kilometers per hour. To disperse the train of the technology of magnetic suspension does not use a wheel, and a plurality of magnets, allowing the train to go faster and makes the movement more smooth.

A test run of the train will be held in November. Length of the route will be 286 kilometers long and would include six stations: Shinagawa in Tokyo and Sagamihara in Kanagawa Prefecture, Kofu in Yamanashi Prefecture, Lida Nagano Prefecture, Nakatsugawa in Gifu Prefecture and Nagoya.

Japan relies on magnetic technology. The country hopes to demonstrate how effective this technology as it would like to export it to other countries. Recently, the Japanese government proposed to build a Maglev train that takes passengers from Washington to Baltimore in 15 minutes, but the fee in the amount of $ 5 billion can be made in installments. The route of this train is scheduled to continue to new York. The only operating Maglev train in China. The Shanghai Maglev train does the journey in 30 kilometers from the airport and the city centre in 7-9 minutes, while its speed is 430 kilometres per hour.
