Reportedly, at present the share of nuclear energy in the electricity market of France is 75%. The parliamentarians took the decision to reduce this share to 50% by 2015. Thus, the first step on the path to alternative energy.

By the end of 2016, the national operator of nuclear power plants — EDF — will have to close some facilities. The French government has signaled that it is interested in renewable energy, which should gradually replace the peaceful atom.

Also important is the fact that in addition to environmental benefits of energy generated by wind and solar power plants, another highlight is the increase in the level of employment. Thus, by 2025, the French are going to solve at once two problems – to improve the environment and reduce unemployment.
