Ecocapsule micro house goes to the stage of prototype
Back in may we wrote about the Ecocapsule the proposal of the architects Nice Architects from Bratislava — micro-house that operates outside the Central grid network and promises an impressive sustainable technologies, including solar energy, rainwater collection and filtration, as well as wind energy.
After several months, the company has turned the virtual model into a real product, and hopes to begin deliveries of its new egg-shaped tiny house in early 2016.
Recall that the house, according to the designers, "equipped with everything essential for a comfortable extended stay outside of civilization, without the need for an external source of energy."
The dimensions of the prototype are of 2.55 x 4.45 x 2.25 m and include a fully equipped working area, about 10 square meters, although the total available area will be significantly less due to installed furniture. Total weight is 1500 kg.
As previously reported, the interior includes a small Seating area and a work space, a bed, a toilet, a shower, and a kitchenette. External storage room has access from the outside, and a pair of openable Windows provide natural light. Access to the dwelling is provided by one tiny lift door.
Sustainable technologies for the final product, include an array of batteries 9744 W*h, installed rooftop solar panels with a total capacity of 600 watts and a wind turbine, an outstanding 750 W, which is attached to the extendable rail.
The composting toilet system rainwater collection and filtration are also installed in house capsule.
As commented by the developers: "the System consists of a poly-carbonate shell, with a frame of recycled aluminum. Insulation is made of several layers of aerogel, and polyurethane. On the edge of the bottom of the unit collect the rainwater, which then passes through a series of filters, getting into the tank, where it is additionally processed".
Although Ecocapsule the first time will be offered in one variant, the company is Nice Architects is looking to make several different types, including in the form of a car trailer for easy transportation. published
