According to the publication Daily Star, the doctor did not give an exact date for the operation, but he expects to hold her "closer to Christmas". Probably talking about Catholic Christmas, that is December 2017.

Project head transplant is called "Heaven", as the patient will perform a 30-year-old programmer from Russia Valery Spiridonov, who suffers from a rare genetic disease — syndrome of Werding — Hoffman. Because of illness he was confined to a wheelchair.

It is expected that the transplant procedure the head will last up to 36 hours. Italian sure that they conceived the operation is possible, but the cost will be several million dollars. The money for the experiment, the neurosurgeon tried to find wealthy sponsors, including Microsoft founder bill gates.

The opinions of neurosurgeons regarding the possibilities to transplant the head were divided: someone does not exclude this possibility in principle, but not sure about the success of the operation, others think it is a head transplant a venture that is doomed to failure.
