Archaeologist Vincent Brinkmann and his team found that the appearance of antique statues were significantly different from what we see now. By applying X-rays, infrared and ultraviolet radiation, scientists have discovered the remains of paint on the sculptures and were able to restore their original color. Brinkmann made copies of sculptures and painted them in the original color and that's what happened.
