The original hostel of the University of Colorado
University of Colorado at Denver with an international non-profit organization Outward Bound project implemented unusual hostel. Located on a steep hill in a pine forest, this hostel presents several houses built on-site in just three weeks.
They are a set of two elements - the core and the outer frame. Thus, the frame is used for protection from the weather, it acts as a terrace and serves as storage for bicycles, skis and kayaks. Floor of the house directly implemented as a studio. Interior decoration is made of birch plywood and functional content is reduced to having a bed-transformer, the cabinet and the workplace for each student.
