Tiger Temple in a Buddhist monastery

It all started 15 years ago, when a local resident brought a wounded tiger to the abbot of the temple in Kanchanaburi (Thailand), who agreed to take care of him. Today, about 150 tigers live in the monastery. Tourists can buy a ticket and photographed animals, it makes a profit of about 5 and 7 million dollars a year, a few million dollars a monastery receives in donations. The funds go for the maintenance of the animals and also for the construction of a new building of the Tiger Temple.
