The temple was built in 68 ad, He is the most ancient, it is known that the first Buddhist temple in China. When the temple was rebuilt, it came from India, the monks undertook the translation of the sutras into the Chinese language – so began the spread of Buddhism in China.
The ancient temple was rebuilt many times, what you see today, pilgrims and tourists – building of the XV century. The temple complex was greatly expanded – it is 13 acres and is now located 13 kilometers from the modern Luoyang. The temple is a working monastery, everywhere you can see monks in orange robes, but the Church welcomes visitors and pilgrims from around the world.
