Wild soldiers of Alexander Khokhlov



Recently, Moscow photographer Alexander Khokhlov presented an impressive series of portraits of soldiers called "Wild soldiers» (Wild Soldiers). Pictures are devoted to the idea that people in times of war are transformed into animals.

The project, in which as make-up artists took part Natalia Pavlova and Ulyana Mahtyuk and retoucher was Veronica Ershova shows half-painted faces of the soldiers - to simulate the wild creatures, including the cruel lions and tigers frightening. Perfect photos, make-up, special effects and props allow a series of images to cause resonance in the viewer on an emotional level.

The ultimate goal of these figurative portraits of soldiers is the desire to stress that "it is impossible to kill people, and save with a human face. War changes people, turning them into a dangerous, violent and unpredictable animals. »
