Cannes Lions for the best design
Applications in Design Lions this year were filed more, and awards were handed much menshe.Iz 1297 applications shortlisted passed 110, and awards were given to only 58 against last year's 83: 1 Grand Prix, 20 gold, 17 silver and 20 bronze lions.
The jury of 16 people, headed by the president of Partner, C & G Partners Steffen Gaysbuhlerom design evaluated and Russian experts - Creative Director of Depot WPF Brand & Identity Moscow Alexey Fadeev.
Grand Prix in the category of Design Lions won the project «IQ Font», designed for the Toyota IQ agency Happiness Brussels. Jury President Steffi Gaysbuhler noted that the winner is "typography, which is the essence of graphic design. The work is very fine, and certainly innovative. I call a true design in all aspects. It is the perfect union of design and advertising ».

The project was created for reports reports agility and maneuverability of micro-cars of Toyota and combines typography, design, advertising and technology. This bribed the jury, which predominated Steffen Gaysbuhler (Steff Geissbuhler) from C & G Partners New York.
Over the world's first road type and typographers worked Damien & Pierre from PleaseLetMeDesign, developer of software and digital-artist Zach Lieberman, a professional driver-driver Stef van Campenhoudt. The letters were obtained from the virtual track of the car, drawing a letter. Specially developed software to track the movement of the machine and then turned them into letters.
