Arctic Tern - the only bird that migrates from one pole to another

This little white bird with a black "cap" on the head is the record holder for the length of the migration path. In order to spend the winter, it flies from the Arctic to the Antarctic, and spring returned. For the year Arctic tern flies on average, about 70 000 km, and some individuals manage to "reel" of more than 80 000 km. Given that the length of the equator is slightly more than 40 000 km, it turns out that flight terns from the pole to the pole 2 times a year is the fact that completely circumnavigate the globe.
