Director of the Institute of World History, RAS Alexander Chubaryan told Tass plans to release a multi-volume encyclopedia of historical. Electronic version of the publication will replace Wikipedia adds Chubarian.





The Academy of Sciences of the USSR from 1961 to 1976 produced the Soviet historical encyclopedia on the history of the peoples of the world to the 70-ies of XX century. Academician Chubarian proposes to continue the tradition.

IWH RAS planned to publish an encyclopedia on their own, but the Minister of Culture Vladimir Medina, as the head of the Russian military-historical society, is planning to join the project as a financier.

Most of the historical encyclopedia will be published in the next two or three years. At the moment, the two volumes are ready, prepared vocabulary all volumes. Encyclopedia includes articles about the world's major figures and topical articles related to history.
