Kiev Franz de Mather

In the Central Scientific Library of Vernadsky preserved album of old photographs of Kiev late XIX-early XX century. Their author is known Kiev photographer that period Franz de Maeser.

Recall Franz de Maeser first arrived in Kiev in 1852 from Volyn. His ancestors were engaged in the production of porcelain. Sam Francis received his artistic education in Vienna. In 1865 he opened his studio. Had the honorary title of "Photographer of his imperial court." The focus of the photographer was mainly the city of Kiev and its residents.
