Few people know, but Paul Stankard is considered one of the pioneers of this direction of creativity. Having struggled with his dyslexia, the American found it difficult to define his future calling. While studying in college, Paul got acquainted with the master glass blower and was delighted with the occupation so much that he decided to try his hand at it. For more than ten years he worked in a glass factory. Then he began to work independently in the living conditions of his garage. Over time, there was recognition and demand for his work. Mr. Stancard’s paperweights are now in more than sixty museums around the world.
