In the house of a person suffering Compulsive hoarding

Photographer Corinna Kern spent a year with a person suffering Compulsive hoarding, creating a series of photographs that shed light on this sostoyanie.

Photographer tells the story of George Fowler, a 72-year-old man who lives in a four-room house. However, his house is almost unfit for habitation because of the piles of trash collected over three decades.
"This project provides a glimpse into the world of George Fowler, who suffers from hoarding - says Corinna Kern. - George collects all sorts of items from sidewalks and garbage cans in the hope that he would find a better use for it than to die in the dumps ... Nevertheless, his obsessive behavior is a logical response to society in which mass production and excessive consumption became the norm. More than one year I spent with George and eventually went to live at his home, which allowed me to understand human nature and what is the basis of his unusual condition ».
