In 2050, the food will look completely different

Scientists have proven that the usual hamburger can be grown in the laboratory only a few stem cells cows. Perhaps the day will come when all our food, which we used to see on the dinner table, are grown without the intervention of nature and agriculture.





Designer Joanna Shmeer within its new project attempted to show how the food would look like in the near future. It has developed seven different products that are theoretically designed to provide all the necessary human survival substances, namely water, vitamins, fiber, sucrose, fat, proteins and minerals.

On the creation of the invention, designer inspired a scientific study published this year, which has proven that it is possible to get a "plastic" cage, able to carry out a chemical reaction. The study's authors believe that in the future they can create bioplastikovuyu cage that will look and function like the real.



"This is a purely conceptual design, and today it is technically impossible to turn this concept into reality - explains Joanna Shmeer - but as the project is based on the results of the recently committed scientific discovery, its implementation could be realized within 40-50 years" .

The purpose of the designer - to show that eating fake products can be just as enjoyable as eating our usual treats grown natural way.



"The fact that we perceive as taste of food, is actually a combination of the senses - sight, smell, touch and taste. Therefore, instead of trying to imitate the traditional dishes we can make them new, artificial analogues, with an emphasis on the visual and tactile sensations "- offers designer.

By 2050, we will have to increase food production by 70% to feed the growing population of the Earth. So is not it better to find alternative sources of food, what to think, how to grow more food?

Manufacture of food products - is not the only thing capable of foods with a high content of enzymes and endowed with the properties of live bacteria. Another feature of this concept is to develop an alternative source of light and improve air quality.
