Prada Marfa is an installation sculpture by two Berlin artists. A fashionable "tent" stands on a vacant lot near the town of Marfa, Texas.
Three days after installation, the $80,000 sculpture was vandalized.
Having penetrated inside, the vandals stole all the contents - six bags and 14 right Prada shoes.
The installation was quickly restored and filled with new models of bags. To avoid repeated theft, the bags were made without a bottom and an alarm system was installed inside. A small piece of luxury in Texas is very popular with tourists.
