The outburst floods in Ecuador and Guatemala
In Ecuador, on Friday, May 28 began erupting volcano Tungurahua, and a day earlier in Guatemala Pacaya volcano awoke. Blocked roads, thousands of people evacuated from the surrounding areas. Pacaya threw a column of smoke and ash to a height of more than eight kilometers, which is comparable to the recent volcanic eruption in Iceland, which ceased its activities on May 24.
On Saturday, May 29, formed in the eastern Pacific tropical storm "Agatha" approached the border between Guatemala and Mexico with winds up to 75 km / h. The hurricane caused heavy rains and floods that complicate efforts to clean up the road from the volcanic ash.
