Tales of the dead wood.
Powerful eruption of Tolbachik in 1975-76 was accompanied by a huge release of hot slag. As a result, the edge of the taiga adjacent to the plateau of the volcano was destroyed. Like a guardian of dead wood is dead trees greets visitors at the edge of the volcano Tolbachik slag fields.
Although the forest was scorched but still standing trees.
Occasionally we come across over the years who could not stand the rigors of life on a volcano.
One of the attractions of Deadwood is the tail of the helicopter Mi-4 sticking out from under the slag. It is a reminder that the volcanic ash that caused the emergency landing during work on the eruption of '75, not only is harmful to all living things but also for cars.
Sveta Lenka did not miss a chance to hang on the tail :)
On the edge of the forest almost no life except for the moss.
Sometimes I come across mushrooms :)
And sometimes Photographers)
Going down the slope of the volcano and into the forest becomes thicker and have more vegetation.
And somewhere between dead and living wood. It becomes apparent that nature is always restored even after such disasters. Mostly begin to appear red currant bushes, and then raspberry.
The smaller becomes the more dead wood in the slag appears here in these craters that could fall on the knee. And maybe more.
These craters result of the fact that the slag fell asleep ancient lava flows which are not uniform surface voids where and washed out of the slag.
No wonder they say that Autumn is the most beautiful time of year in Kamchatka.
In the summer of mosquitoes are rampant and there is such a haze that would not be seen in the distance running volcano Kizimen.
And before reaching the crater Star famous for its caves and monsters :)
Dead Deciduous forest gives way to bright yellow poplar.
And in the distance on the horizon, one can see one of the most beautiful volcanoes of Kamchatka kronotsky (left) and her working neighbor volcano Kizimen.
This forest in Kamchatka is not only here, but also under the volcano Sheveluch, where we went in the fall !!!
