"Octopus" in 30 years

30 years ago the Italian broadcaster RAI start shooting the series "Octopus". Nobody expected that the next saga about the police and the mafia become so popular, especially in the USSR.
Premiere of "Octopus" on Soviet television took place a few years later - in June 1986. Millions of truckers across the country glued to a TV screen, follow the adventures of the brave Police Commissioner Corrado Cattani, who struggled with a clever lawyer Terrasini and his henchmen, entrenched in sunny Sicily. The audience loved the main characters, played by actor from different countries. How they have changed over the 30 years?
Actor Michele Placido, who played Commissioner Cattani, in his 66 years continues to act in films and on television. Curiously, his wife Simonetta in 1972 played a Sicilian wife of Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) in the probably the popular movie about the mafia "The Godfather", filmed in Hollywood. The main character in it played by Marlon Brando, received for this work "Oscar".
Young love Commissioner Cattani Marquis titty Ovens Shaloya was embodied on the screen 23-year-old Barbara De Rossi. Now she is 52, she has a daughter and continues to appear on television. In the current Barbara is quite difficult to recognize the same "fatal Marquis."
