Persons Ellis Island
For many immigrants of the early 20th century, dreaming the "American dream" and save money for a ticket across the Atlantic, the island of Ellis Island - first impression of America. It was leaving the building of the American Customs newly found himself in a long-awaited - «melting pot» - New York. Someone came to work, with the hope of return. Some hoped to settle in America permanently, leaving the problems and needs. People left everything he had behind, taking only what is needed ... and memory. Probably have their children or grandchildren to easily parted with this memory, feeling especially children of America. But in the eyes of these people has been preserved "old life." In their view it is read only a guess, but not understanding what awaits them in their new homeland.
