Hawaiian Diamond Head

On our planet, there are many extinct volcanoes that fascinate people with its grandeur and its former strength, making them feel small insignificant creatures on a background of enormous proportions. Scientists believe that almost perfectly smooth on all sides of the cone crater is the result of a powerful but short-term volcanic explosion, which lasted for only a few days. Another possible reason for the formation of this crater was the interaction between the surface of the lava coming out with groundwater. Since this eruption has monogenic nature, that geologists have no reason to fear the revival of the volcano in the future.

At Diamond Head, as well as any other sights of the world, has its own interesting history. After the capture in 1898, Hawaii United States of America on the crater floor was built a military base with a viewing platform and a complex four-level underground complex.
