Graveyard of ships in Teriberke
Teriberka - a small village on the coast of the Barents Sea, which is now more like a bombed town. Dawn of the village was in the 40-60-ies, when there was a bunch of production - two fishing collective farm, two dairy farms, poultry farms, about 2,000 heads of deer farm breeding American mink, two fishery. Today we go to the local cemetery of ships, which were used in the 30-50s of the last century. Teriberka - a tiny town on the coast of the Barents Sea. For me - a region of the world. For local - home. The first night, when we got there. someone said that we should come back more often. To make it to compare, and then say that we live badly. It seems that life has stood there for a long time, and gradually the cold wind blows milestones residents of the town. According to the latest census Teriberke lives less than a thousand people. According to rumors, almost all of them are engaged in poaching - catching crabs.
Winter - most obviously dreary time in the area. Out of the car did not want to get out. Strong wind was circling in the air prickly snow, solitary man walking a dog, and out the window staring at us curious housewife. By the way in this region to look out of the window is a very popular activity. So it seems that you are constantly supervised. And this feeling is not only after our departure, but after viewing photos of other vagrants.
The town gives the impression of an abandoned, but when it's there a couple with children - it disappears. No matter what, the village continues to live. More precisely to survive.
To the right is visible snow-covered barge. Obviously it was a sleepy soil and planted on a bank before other courts. Most likely it is a time used as a mooring
These skeleton - the remains of small fishing trawlers (MRI). These ships were used in the 30-50s of the last century. Such vessels are short-lived - their lifespan was about 20 years old. The tree is short-lived ...
And since then, lie in the water and rot silent witnesses of past years. Somehow it all reminds all Teriberka Cemetery - rotting past, surrounded by an incredible nature ...
Oddly enough, but Teriberka proved to be one of the most interesting places in our entire expedition. Perhaps this is due to the fact that it was there that we saw only in our entire trip to the sunset)) But most of all, that all the neighborhood - it's a big exotic tourist attraction. And all this devastation, and the Barents Sea with its leaden waters. And the ship graveyard that I wanted to shoot. Besides, we have not seen the Northern Lights. for which every year attracts tourists Teriberka. In fact - it is a domestic Tremse. On the outskirts of the city we met Petrograd, who also arrived in the city of Aurora. And in front of us were photographers who managed to perfectly capture the northern lights. When a good investment can be made from domestic Mecca for those wishing to see the light. In fact, this should not so much - good hotel, a little drive a snowmobile and reindeer - and all. Exotica there with his head, at least for foreigners ... Now, after the trip, I dig deeper - and see how many interesting and photogenic are in those places. The case for small - to reassemble the backpack ...
